Suspended Ceilings

A lay-in-grid suspension system to support many varieties of tiles. Standard tile sizes are 1200 x 600 mm or 600 x 600 mm. However, the provision of cross T-slots at 100 mm centres along the main runners allows other sizes of tiles to be easily fitted.

The principal components of the grid are of cold-rolled galvanised steel capped with painted or natural aluminium. Perimeter trims, channel trims and shadow line trims, are in matching finishes or painted steel. Standard finish is white, but matt black, bronze and brushed aluminium can be supplied.

Hold-down clips of spring steel are either plated or black finish. Joints are tight and self-levelling, both in main runner connections and cross T- functions. Cross T’s have joggled ends as standard.

Tiles:  Fissured minaboard and plastic-faced plasterboard are supplied as standard.   Other tile designs are available on request.

Ceiling Support Beams:  up to 6 metre span.   Galvanised channels are specified.   A full range is available to meet customers’ requirements.

Over 6 metre span:  Timber, steel and lattice beams are specified. Full ranges are available to suit customers’ requirements.

A complete range of fascia can be supplied to complement the appearance of the ceiling system.

Fire rating:  The grid has been tested to BS476 Part 8 1972 Section 6 using a wide range of mineral fibre tiles.

Lighting:  We can offer many different types of lighting units for incorporation in the ceiling system.

Steel ceilings:  Single and double skin steel ceilings can be supplied as required.
